Emerald water. Sugar-white sand. Fewer crowds than Destin — and golden hour light that makes everything glow. I'm Korbin Henderson, and I photograph and film weddings on this island year-round.
Check Your Date →Okaloosa Island sits between Fort Walton Beach and Destin — with the same emerald water and white sand, but a fraction of the crowd.
Fine quartz sand bounces golden hour light upward, giving skin tones a warm glow and making white dresses pop against turquoise water.
While Destin and Pensacola Beach pull tourist traffic, Okaloosa Island's east end stays remarkably quiet. No strangers in your ceremony photos.
The Boardwalk and pier give your guests food, drinks, and sunset views in one walkable zone. Group shots here feel like vacation.
Gulf-side ceremonies are gorgeous, but wind is unpredictable. The bay side offers calmer conditions and softer light — essential for veils.

From waterfront event spaces to the wide-open public beach, here are the venues I've shot at and recommend.

Coastal chic in downtown FWB, right on the waterfront. Open floor plan, natural light from every angle, and harbor sunsets through the west-facing windows.

5,000+ sq ft of customizable space with floor-to-ceiling harbor views. The fall sunset light during first dances is one of my favorite things to photograph.

For intimate ceremonies under 50 guests — a wide, quiet stretch of sand with the pier as backdrop. No venue fee, just an Okaloosa County permit.
Ask About Permits →I only book one wedding per day — and peak-season Saturdays fill up fast.
Check AvailabilityThese aren't postcard locations — they're the spots where the light is best, the backgrounds are cleanest, and your photos stand out.

Rocky outcrops, crashing waves, dramatic golden hour light. Jetty rocks in the foreground, sun dipping behind the harbor.

Beach markers 1–5 are the emptiest. I've shot entire wedding parties here without a single photobomb.

String lights, ocean sounds, casual energy. Perfect for candid reception shots or relaxed couple portraits.

Hidden gem on the bay side — wooden docks, shaded pavilions, calm water. Ideal for first look sessions before heading to the beach.
Every package includes professional editing, high-resolution digital delivery, and a photographer who already knows your location.

Yes — Okaloosa County requires a Special Event permit. It's straightforward and much simpler than Pensacola Beach or Destin permits. I can walk you through it.
Late September through early November and March through May — comfortable temps, low humidity, thin crowds, and the best golden hour light of the year.
About 45 minutes west on Highway 98. No travel fee — I shoot across the Emerald Coast regularly.
I'd highly recommend it. Your engagement session doubles as a location scout, and couples who've already shot with me are visibly more relaxed on wedding day.

Peak-season weekends book 12–18 months out. A 40% deposit secures your spot, and flexible payment plans keep the rest stress-free.
