Fairhope and Baldwin County wedding venues come in four kinds: the bayfront hotels and inns of Point Clear, downtown Fairhope’s courtyards and art spaces, farms and gardens inland, and resorts on the Gulf in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. The Eastern Shore faces west across Mobile Bay, so the bayfront venues get the sun setting over the water, which is the one thing nowhere else on the Alabama coast can offer. Below are 22 venues, every one checked against its Google listing in September 2026, with what I’d look at as the person photographing the day.
I’m Korbin, the photographer and videographer behind KDH Weddings. I’m based in Pace, and Baldwin County is part of my regular coverage with no travel fee. The Fairhope venue guides that still rank are years old, and a few of their venues have changed hands or names since. This one is current.

Point Clear: the bayfront
Point Clear is the stretch of Scenic Highway 98 south of downtown Fairhope, right on the water. If you want your ceremony with Mobile Bay behind it and the sun going down over the water, start here.

- Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, 17855 Scenic Hwy 98 (Google 4.7, 2,391 reviews). The historic Grand Hotel, now a Marriott Autograph Collection resort, and the best-known wedding address on the Eastern Shore. Lawns and a long boardwalk on the bay, ballrooms for rain and big guest lists, and rooms for everyone on site. It’s busy: on peak Saturdays expect other events on the property, so ask which ceremony sites are yours alone and at what times. Pricing is quoted per event.
- Little Point Clear, 18263 Scenic Hwy 98 (Google 4.8, 188 reviews). Suites and an event space in a coastal-cottage style, so you can get ready, marry and celebrate in one place. All-in-one venues like this save an hour of travel on the timeline, which goes straight back into photos.
- Sacred Heart Chapel, 18673 Scenic Hwy 98 (Google 4.7, 35 reviews). A small chapel on the same road. Pair it with a Point Clear or downtown reception if you want a church ceremony near the water.
Photographer’s note: the bay faces west, so a bayfront ceremony timed about an hour before sunset puts the sun behind your guests and lights your faces warmly. Time it later and the sun sits right behind you, which is beautiful but needs a photographer who’s comfortable shooting into the light.
Downtown Fairhope: courtyards, flowers and art
Downtown Fairhope is walkable, full of flowers and ten minutes from the pier. Every downtown venue here can be paired with portraits at the Fairhope Municipal Pier or along the bluff at sunset.
- The Venue Fairhope, 105 S Section St (Google 4.6, 71 reviews). Indoor and open-air courtyard spaces in the middle of downtown. The courtyard can be tented if the forecast turns, which is exactly the kind of rain plan I like.
- Apiary, 85 N Bancroft St (Google 5.0, 12 reviews). A newer downtown event space, a good fit for smaller receptions and rehearsal dinners.
- The Fairhope Inn, 63 S Church St (Google 4.5, 208 reviews). An inn with a well-loved restaurant and a small courtyard, suited to intimate ceremonies and dinners.
- Eastern Shore Art Center, 401 Oak Ave (Google 4.8, 44 reviews). Receptions among the galleries, minutes from several downtown churches. Guests move from ceremony to reception without driving.
Farms, gardens and parks inland
Inland Baldwin County gives you land, oaks and lower site fees, with more room for big guest lists and parking.

- Oak Hollow Farm, 14210 S Greeno Rd, Fairhope (Google 4.7, 302 reviews). A family-run farm venue and one of the most-searched names in the county. Oaks, open fields and a barn-style reception space.
- Izenstone, 9311 D’Olive Rd, Spanish Fort (Google 4.9, 205 reviews). A family-owned venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, and more than one of each, so you can set the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in different settings.
- Historic Blakeley State Park, Spanish Fort (Google 4.6, 776 reviews). Moss-draped live oaks and Civil War history on the Tensaw River. Contact the park about wedding use and fees.
- Belforest Pointe, Daphne (Google 4.7, 66 reviews). A farmland venue run by a family with a long history in Gulf Coast event rentals.
- The Historic Malbis Nursery, Daphne (Google 4.5, 32 reviews). A hidden historic property under big trees, best for smaller weddings.
- Daphne Civic Center (Google 4.6, 79 reviews). The practical choice: a city-run hall with room for a big reception at a civic price.
- Bella Sera Gardens, Loxley (Google 4.4, 340 reviews). Italian-villa-style gardens with an indoor reception space next to them.
- The Venue at Hidden Lake, Silverhill (Google 4.9, 40 reviews). A lakeside country venue in the middle of the county.
- The Oaks at Magnolia Springs, Foley (Google 5.0, 15 reviews). A small, highly rated venue near the Magnolia River.
- The Hotel Magnolia, Foley (Google 4.8, 680 reviews). A restored boutique hotel downtown, good for a hotel-based wedding without the resort scale.
- Baldwin County Bicentennial Park, Stockton (Google 4.8, 137 reviews). A county park with pioneer-era buildings in the north of the county, for a rustic, low-cost ceremony.
The Gulf: Orange Beach and Gulf Shores
Still Baldwin County, 45 minutes south of Fairhope.

- Heron Pointe at the Wharf, Orange Beach (Google 4.8, 29 reviews). A house-style venue with space upstairs to get ready.
- Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach, 26389 Canal Rd (Google 4.9, 389 reviews). A city-run arts center over Wolf Bay, with water, trees and the building itself as backdrops.
- Perdido Beach Resort, Orange Beach (Google 4.7, 6,674 reviews) and The Lodge at Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores (Google 4.4, 2,293 reviews). Gulf-front hotels with ballrooms and beach access. Gulf Shores doesn’t allow weddings on its public beaches, so a hotel, private property or Gulf State Park permit is the way to marry on the sand there.
How to choose between them
- Decide: bay, downtown, farm or Gulf. Each gives a completely different set of photos, and it narrows 22 venues to five or six.
- Check the rain plan in person. Ask to see the indoor or tented backup set up, not just described. Here’s how I’d build a beach or outdoor rain plan.
- Ask about getting-ready space. An all-in-one venue saves travel time. If you’re getting ready elsewhere, plan 30 to 45 minutes of travel on the Eastern Shore on a Saturday.
- Pick the month for the light you want. In October the sun sets around 6:20 pm, and in December around 4:50 pm. Here’s the best months for a Gulf Coast wedding.
- Sort the paperwork. Alabama doesn’t issue marriage licenses any more. You both sign the state marriage certificate form in front of an Alabama notary, then file it with the probate court within 30 days. How it works
