Laurel Hill Farm is a family-owned working equestrian farm and wedding venue in Laurel Hill, Florida, in north Okaloosa County. It has a covered pavilion and several ceremony sites, a Grand Ballroom, a bridal suite and a western-themed saloon, all set among palm-lined pastures and white horse fencing. Brandon and Victoria got married there on June 26, 2026, in lavender and dusty blue, and I photographed their day from getting ready to the last dance. Here’s how it came together, and what to know if you’re considering a farm venue for a summer wedding in Northwest Florida.
I’m Korbin, the photographer and videographer behind KDH Weddings. I cover weddings across the Panhandle with no travel fees, and Laurel Hill Farm is one of the prettiest drives I make: rolling pasture, horses and big skies.

Getting ready
Victoria got ready in the bridal suite, with its sage-green wainscoting, a big mirror and a vintage barber chair. That chair is the best seat in the house for hair and makeup, and a fun prop for photos. Brideguide Pros did hair and makeup, and family was right there for the finishing touches.

A pavilion ceremony in late June
The ceremony was under the farm’s covered pavilion. The roof kept everyone in the shade while the sides stayed open to the breeze and the view. For a late-June wedding in Florida, that’s the ideal setup: guests are comfortable, and the light under a roof is soft and even, so nobody is squinting in the photos.
Madison Leigh Events planned the day. With a ceremony site, a reception space and portraits spread across a farm, a planner who knows the property is what keeps everyone moving in the right direction at the right time.

Lavender, dusty blue and the wedding party
The palette was lavender and dusty blue: bridesmaids in lavender, groomsmen in gray and Brandon in a light blue suit. Hummingbird Florals made Victoria’s bouquet of white and purple roses with blue accents. Against the green lawn and the palms, those colors pop.

Portraits along the fence line
The white horse fencing and the rows of palms give Laurel Hill Farm a look all its own: part ranch, part Florida. We did portraits along the fence and in the open field as the light softened toward sunset, which in late June comes at about 7:50 pm, with golden hour starting around 7:15.

The reception
The reception was in the wood-paneled hall, with white linens and chandeliers. Just Think Cake made the naked cake, topped with fresh berries. Brandon and Victoria’s first dance ended with a dip, and once Mosaiq got the dance floor going, Brandon’s tie ended up around his head.

Tips for a summer wedding at a farm venue
- Choose a covered ceremony spot. A pavilion keeps guests out of the sun and gives you even light.
- Time portraits for the last hour of light. In late June that’s roughly 6:50 to 7:50 pm.
- Pick colors that pop on green. Lavender, blue, blush and white all work.
- Plan a heat and bug kit. Fans, cold water and bug spray for guests.
- Use the whole property. Fence lines, pastures, oaks and barn doors are all backdrops, so build 20–30 minutes of portrait time into the timeline.
- Tell guests about the drive. A rural venue is worth the trip, but share directions and parking details on your wedding website.
